Ball album01.13.01
According to The Official Brian Tichy Website, former Foreigner drummer Brian Tichy, who just returned from the last tour of Ozzy Osbourne, is ready to release the new album of his band Ball this February. The album was recorded and mixed last year.

Foreigner DVDs01.13.01
Rhino Records has scheduled the release of a DVD version of Foreigner's self-titled album, the date is February 27th. A DVD version of "4" is also possible.

"Foreigner Tribute" album update01.13.01
According to Melodic Rock, Escape Music's "Foreigner Tribute" album will be released on January 28th and will contain thirteen songs instead of only eleven. The two songs not confirmed on our previous news are "Urgent" with lead vocals by Alan Clark from Change Of Heart and "Prisoner Of Love" with lead vocals by Chris Ousey from Heartland, and Troy Reid from Stranded.

Ball album update01.22.01
According to The Official Brian Tichy Website, Ball, band leaded by former Foreigner drummer Brian Tichy, is ready to release its new album and tour again.

The album won't be released next month as it has been posted on this site, but it is finished and will be released this year under the Time Bomb label, Brian says "I'm assuming it's safe to say pre-summer".

Also, the band will play on Tuesday, January 24th, at The Dragon / Pretty Ugly Club (located southwest side of Santa Monica and Wilcox, Hollywood).

According to Melodic Rock, finally, Escape Music released its "Foreigner Tribute" album, you can find details and sound samples to each track at Escape Music LTD, enter the site and then access New Releases from the top menu. Warning, every sample has an approximate size of 939 KB.

Ron Wikso on new Gregg Rolie album03.06.01
According to the Ron Wikso Website, former Foreigner drummer Ron Wikso recently co-produced the latest solo release of lead vocalist and keyboardist Gregg Rolie, original founding member of both Santana and Journey and current member of The Storm along with Ron, who also played on the album.

Titled "Roots", the album was recorded in large part in Ron's studio and has been doing just great at MP3.com, site where many of its songs are topping the Rock, Pop & Rock, Pop, and Classic Rock charts, including "Breaking My Heart" on which Neal Schon, another original founding member of Journey, provided lead guitar. According to The Official Brian Tichy Website, Ball, band of former Foreigner drummer Brian Tichy, has cancelled its May 3rd show at The Gig on Melrose due to scheduling conflicts. Also, check out Brian's website for the Ball next shows, which will be the last shows of the band for at least two months.

Johnny Edwards on new Northrup album04.18.01
According to Melodic Rock, former Foreigner lead vocalist Johnny Edwards and guitarist Jeff Northrup got back together to finish an album recorded more than ten years ago. Titled "JK", the album will be released on May 5th.

Jeff Jacobs on new Two Fires album04.18.01
According to Melodic Rock, Foreigner keyboardist Jeff Jacobs, keyboardist Jim Peterik and bassist Shawn Fichter joins lead vocalist Kevin Chalfant and guitarist Josh Ramos to work on the second album of Two Fires.

Mick Jones on new Meatloaf album05.11.01
According to Melodic Rock, Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones is currently producing the new Meatloaf effort. Keyboardist and songwriter Jim Peterik recently spent some time in New York City with Mick writting a song titled "Wires And Wood" that might be included on the album. And schedules permitting, the duo would like to write more together, with songs needed for a possible new Foreigner record next year.

Northrup "JK" album update05.11.01
According to Melodic Rock, the upcoming Northrup "JK" album contains 11 tracks that were recorded, but never released, several years ago with former Foreigner member Johnny Edwards on lead vocals. It is scheduled to be released on June 1st under the Metal Mayhem Music label. Also, there are plans to re-unite the pair of Johnny Edwards and guitarist Jeff Northrup this U.S.A. summer to record a fresh new album.

According to The Official Brian Tichy Website, former Foreigner drummer Brian Tichy will play with Billy Idol on the "20 Years Of MTV" special.

"Rough Diamonds #1" available again07.20.01
The limited edition autographed CD "Rough Diamonds #1", which was available only at concerts of the Foreigner's U.S.A. Summer Tours of 1999 and 2000, is now available again for a brief period at The Official Foreigner Web Site. Barbara Ferrey.

Ball and Billy Idol both continue09.08.01
According to The Official Brian Tichy Website, after finishing a quick East Coast tour revolving around the MTV appearance, the Billy Idol tour continues up the West Coast with former Foreigner drummer Brian Tichy, ending with a few shows at The Roxy in L.A.

Ball is still trying to find a new home and get its new CD out and the band will be playing live again at the end of September.

Ron Wikso live09.08.01
According to the Ron Wikso Website, after an in store appearance at the Tower Records store in Brea, CA on August 19th where former Foreigner drummer Ron Wikso helped to promote the latest album of Gregg Rolie playing some songs, answering some questions and signing some CD's, the band appeared on August 22nd on the nationally syndicated television show "Rockline", the next are some links where you can find out about listening to it over the internet, listening to the archives of past shows and listings of the stations that carry the show in various parts of the country:

On September, they will be participating in shows in San Francisco (12th, 13th and 14th) and Los Angeles (21st and 22nd) that are being put on by Elizabeth Taylor and Macy's. From what Ron understands, the shows will also feature performances by Macy Gray and Reba McEntire. There is also a huge lineup of major celebrities scheduled to be in attendance so it should be a lot of fun!
