According to The Official Foreigner Website, Foreigner will tour U.S.A. this month. McAllen, TX, Corpus Christi, TX, and Orlando, FL are scheduled to the end of December.

Ian McDonald on new John Wetton album12.05.00
According to Melodic Rock, former Foreigner multi-instrumentalist Ian McDonald will appear on the new studio album of John Wetton. Titled "Welcome To Heaven", the album will be released in Japan on December 12th and will include the songs "Heart Of Darkness", "Say It Ain't So", "No Ordinary Miracle", "Where Do We Go From Here?", "E-scape", "Another Twist Of The Knife", "Silently", "Before Your Eyes", "Second Best" and "Real World". Other guests include Robert Fripp, Steve Hackett and Jim Peterik.

Foreigner on "Behind The Music"12.05.00
According to The Official Foreigner Website, Foreigner will appear on "Behind The Music" of VH1. The production of the project was scheduled to start around the middle of 2000, but it has been delayed for 2001.

"Foreigner Tribute" album12.05.00
According to Melodic Rock, a Foreigner tribute album will be released on January 15th under the Escape Music label and will include the songs "Feels Like The First Time", "Cold As Ice", "Long, Long Way From Home", "Double Vision", "Dirty White Boy", "Head Games", "Waiting For A Girl Like You", "Urgent", "That Was Yesterday" and "I Don't Want To Live Without You", and probably "Rev On The Red Line" and "Prisoner Of Love".

Featured lead vocalists will include Tracy White from Intruder and Shotgun Symphony, Robert Berry from Alliance, Troy Reid from Stranded, Chris Ousey from Heartland, Dave Baldwin from Departure, Darcy Deutsch from Pokerface and Prism, Alan Clerk from Change Of Heart and Alister Gordon from Radio Silence.

Ian McDonald repurchases the rights to "Drivers Eyes"12.17.00
Former Foreigner multi-instrumentalist Ian McDonald was signed to Renaissance Records to distribute his releases in U.S.A. but apparently he had a falling out with them. Ian has chosen to pursue his releases elsewhere and has repurchased the rights to "Drivers Eyes". So his first solo album still available only in U.K. and as an expensive import to anywhere else. According to Melodic Rock, Escape Music's "Foreigner Tribute" album is due for release next month or early February, probably January 15th. The track listing and vocalist line up is Chris Ousey from Heartland with "Cold As Ice" and "Long, Long Way From Home", Dave Baldwin from Departure with "Feels Like The First Time", Darcy Deutsch from Pokerface and Prism with "That Was Yesterday" and "Rev On The Red Line", Alister Gordon from Radio Silence with "I Don't Want To Live Without You", Troy Reid from Stranded with "Double Vision", Tracy White from Intruder and Shotgun Symphony with "Dirty White Boy", John Pratt with "Hot Blooded", Robert Berry from Alliance with "Waiting For A Girl Like You", and Roy Roper with "Head Games". Apparently, "Urgent" was recorded by Alan Clerk from Change Of Heart but it will not be included.

Featured on the album are the following musicians: on guitars Steve Morris from The Distance, and Kenny Kaos from Stranded; on keyboards Dave Chapman from Change Of Heart; on hammond organ and horn / brass Mike Walsh from Departure; on bass Tim Hewitt from Heartland; on drums Rob Kurzreiter from The Distance, Frank Baker from Radio Silence, and Bernnie Aubin from Headpins. Also featured is the late Scott Smith from Loverboy on bass, in what could have been his last studio performance before his untimely death last week.
